About Garuda Indonesia

Named for a bird-like deity prevalent in the region's religious mythos, Garuda Indonesia is the national carrier of the nation of Indonesia. Garuda has expanded significantly since their founding in 1949, with a fleet presently numbering 138 planes, and service to 102 domestic and international full-service routes. As of 2014, Garuda Indonesia is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance, and retains additional partnerships with international airlines throughout the Pacific region, from All Nippon to Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, and more.
