    TERRIBLE FLIGHT

NOISY, LOOKS SHOPWORN, TERRIBLE TOILET AREA,

  • 10A★★★★anonymous

Good choice for getting photos, as the window opens at the fore of the wing (image related.)

  • 12D★★seatlink

Not terrible, but not good either, does not recline (exit row behind).

  • 18B★seatlink

Just not a good seat, may have limited recline; next to the lavatory; engine noise can be a problem.

  • 13B★★★★★seatlink

Recommend this seat over others, this exit row seat has extra legroom; the seat in front does not recline; no under seat stowage during takeoff and landing.

  • 1C★★★★seatlink

Solid choice, may have extra legroom; no seat reclining in front of you; no underseat stowage; near the galley.

  • 13D★★★★seatlink

Good seat with some minor issues, this exit row seat has extra legroom; the seat in front does not recline; no under seat stowage during takeoff and landing; may be missing an armrest; seat cushion may be very firm.

Seat 1A
Flight-Report· Review of American Eagle flight from Fargo to Chicago in Domestic First (AA3078)
  • Flew the single bulkhead seat 1A on an ex-Delta frame and found a universal power outlet and USB port alongside it, plus two sets of lights and air vents
  • Rated the cabin highly — blue mood lighting, old seats with refreshed finishings, "pretty good" recline — though legroom was awkward to stretch out in and the overhead bins were small enough that most passengers gate-checked
  • Explains that the ex-Delta CRJ-700s carry 65 seats with three first class rows while the ex-United frames have 70 seats and two rows, identifiable by the blue armrests
  • Got a pre-departure Coke Zero, an extra drink round with Biscoff cookies during the ground hold, and a well-stocked snack basket after takeoff, but called the first class flight attendant the weak point for handing over the basket without a word or a smile
  • Watched Big Bang Theory on the free streaming entertainment and scored it 9/10; a nearly two-hour Chicago ground stop meant arriving 1 hour 35 minutes late

Seat 1A
ModHop· Video | American CRJ-700 First Class Seat 1A
  • Took bulkhead seat 1A in first class on a New York–Minneapolis run after a paid upgrade offered at online check-in, where first class was nearly empty
  • Found the extra legroom stilted by the lack of a footwell cutout, but says anyone under six feet can fully extend and even rest their feet against the bulkhead wall
  • No wifi and no power ports onboard, leaving the stack of onboard magazines as the entertainment
  • Food service amounted to warmed nuts and snack mix, though nuts and drinks arrived in glassware rather than plastic, and the service was friendly and personable
  • Flags the single rear lavatory as the big quirk: no odor or crowding up front, but an awkward wait at the back of the plane; rated the experience 3 out of 5

The Path Less Traveled· Review: American Eagle CRJ-700 Economy
  • Economy on the DCA–Toronto run has 46 seats at 31 inches of pitch and 17 inches of width, clean blue-and-gray slimlines
  • Criticized the seat padding — a supportive bottom cushion but a seatback with minimal padding that would wear thin on the longer routes these jets fly
  • Warns that the overhead bins are very small, so anything bigger than a backpack may need a (free) gate check
  • Only 27 passengers aboard a roughly 70-seat jet made the takeoff feel "more like a rocket than a commercial aircraft"
  • Service brought hot drinks first, then sodas, juices and Biscoff cookies as the only snack; streaming entertainment is free while wifi is paid

Seat 3A
JustSomeFlyer· Trip Report: American Airlines (CRJ-700) Domestic First ORD–IND
  • Sat in 3A, the last row of a nine-seat Domestic First cabin laid out 1-2 across three rows on this SkyWest-operated ORD–IND hop
  • Zodiac Close Comfort II seats measure roughly 19.5–21 inches wide with 37 inches of pitch and six inches of recline, plus a bi-fold tray table and cocktail holder in the left armrest
  • Recent upgrades had added an individual power outlet and USB port at every first class seat on this 19-year-old airframe
  • Called the pre-departure beverage a pleasant surprise, then got a single drink run with a choice of pretzels or Biscoff cookies — he was still sipping his Bloody Mary at the start of descent on the 36-minute flight
  • Solid overall verdict: good service for a short regional leg, and the gate was reached ten minutes early

Seat 4A
ATX Jetsetter· Review: American Eagle CRJ-700 Economy (BTR-DFW)
  • Seat 4A in the first economy row, sold as Main Cabin Extra, delivered "virtually unlimited legroom" — though 4B gets bumped constantly by passengers in the aisle
  • No seatback screens, but free streaming entertainment over the wifi, which he rates above United's CRJ-900s that lack it; he used the connection in flight to track his connection
  • Main Cabin Extra included complimentary alcohol — a vodka soda plus a small bag of pretzels — and the single rear lavatory stayed clean and stocked all flight
  • A broken pushback tug at Baton Rouge meant a gate change and a walk across the tarmac up airstairs, with the SkyWest captain personally loading bags to make up time
  • Praises the hustle of the ground agents and crew as the highlight of an otherwise standard flight, while noting his broader experience with American's reliability remains poor; the fare also undercut United by hundreds of dollars

Seat 1A
Phillips Loop· Review: American Airlines CRJ-700 (First Class) – Oklahoma City to Dallas
  • Booked 1A, the single left-side seat in a nine-seat first class cabin, on the short OKC–DFW hop as part of a 66,500-mile plus $86 round trip
  • The permanent drink holder built into the left armrest is "fine without a drink but kind of awkward with one" — he ended up holding his glass; the tray table stows in the same armrest and can be used half-folded
  • No individual air nozzles anywhere on the aircraft, and the cabin was set "hella cold" on an October morning
  • Calls the lack of wifi, power outlets and seatback entertainment "kind of depressing"
  • Crew handed out sanitizing wipes at boarding and took drink orders early, but after the vodka Sprite arrived ten minutes post-takeoff nothing else happened — the cabin stayed dim and "eerily quiet"; still landed a few minutes early
