Why does Alaska Airlines even bother printing the gate number on the ticket when they always change gates at the last momet? Got to our gate 2 hours early. Checked in and confirmed the gate was indeed correct (been screwed over by Alaska Airline's random gate changes before). Was told it was correct. All good. No worries. No nearby food as the gates are peasant class so we went to the adjacent terminal to get something to eat and return. When we get back, flight now says it goes to a different city? Where did everybody go? They changed gates on us and we missed our flight as no way to get to the NEW terminal before the flight was closed. Cost us over $6000 to book a new flight with a different airline. Alaska Airlines would do nothing to help. We were not alone missing the flight. Had to spend another $6000 to buy new tickets. STOP MOVING GATES AROUND!!!!!

worst seats ever. American airlines has more comfortable seats then Alaska. They took all the padding out of seats on Alaska airlines to lower the weight of the planes. Shameless, they are. I tell everyone I know not to fly Alaska airlines due to the terrible seats o their planes

Great seat for legroom since there is no seat ahead of you. But that also means no tray table and your USB port/electric plug are waaaay in front of you. Better have a long cable or ask your neighbor if they’ll share.

Not much to say about this Q400 seat, it is just like the rest on Alaska's Q400 fleet. And that means not so good. Narrow, limited leg room, just not comfortable at all. Although on my flight SEA/EUG the onboard crew was terrific. Thank goodness it is a short flight, but Alaska needs to retire these birds and switch to the E-175, which Delta flies on this same route. We took that flight from EUG/SEA and worlds difference. Delta will be our go to airline on this route at least until AS starts using the E-175.

I fly Alaska Airlines almost every domestic trip I take, however that has recently changed. I will no longer fly Alaska. On a recent flight, my wife and I were among the last passengers to board, and were forced to check our carry on luggage (1 small suit case), because we were told there was limited overhead space. We begrudgingly accept and board the plane to find about half the overhead space completely empty. I'm not exaggerating here either. There was room for another 30 luggage bags. I immediately ask the nearest stewardess why we were being asked to check our bags with all the obvious available space, and she responds with: "We are concerned about overhead space filling up". I shoot her a confusing look and then look to the ample available overhead space, and she doesn't respond. This definitely sounds like a lame and nit-picky complaint, but we were meeting a friend at our destination who would be waiting on us to share a cab with, and the extra 20 minutes waiting for our checked luggage is a bit ridiculous. We packed light for the very reason of NOT having to check any luggage.

On a May 10, 2018, flight, the seat was a little forward compared to the submitted picture. I was able to see outside when I leaned forward. But still had the wall to lean against to sleep.

First off, the seat is easily 2 inches narrower than every other seat on the plane, as the fuselage starts narrowing two rows before this one. It also has less legroom than other rows. Adding insult to injury, it also does not recline at all, making it impossible to have a computer open and get work done. But wait - it gets better: you are next to the lavatory! Enjoy smells, lineups of people, and doors opening closing all flight long...
