I sat in this seat on a not-so-short hop to Montreal, and with the exception of the last row, this could be one of the worst seats on the plane. Delta designates this as a preferred seat, but you have minimal legroom and are sitting right next to the galley, which sees a surprising amount of traffic.

Our picks: 12A, 12B, and 12C. Avoid the last two rows and seat 1A.
Delta's ERJ 145 is a small regional aircraft with a 1-2 cabin seating configuration. Seats on the left side of the plane are single seats, making 12A the best seat on the plane because of the added legroom in the exit row. Row 18 should be avoided at all costs as the lavatory door is right next to 18A and 18B, and the lavatory is effectively the rear bulkhead wall. 1A should also be avoided even though it is designated as a premium seat -- it has restricted legroom and is next to the galley (2A is also worth avoiding).
